Sheer Stupidity

I take it all back!!

Americans MUST be extremely stupid! Days ago, US pres. Obama succeeded where every other post-war presidents has failed; he passed the health-care reform bill.

I could go into technical details, but really; simple common-sense can answer the question of whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I assume that every sane human agrees that people's health should not be a matter that relies on how rich or poor they are. Eating Sushi vs McD is one thing, but getting the best doctor/hospital vs the cheapest is NOT the same.

That said, if someone comes to me and says "In a country where this is NOT the case, I am going to make it so!" I would probably try to join his staff member. Shockingly, MANY Americans believe otherwise! They feel that such a bill is a hit to their "filthy capitalism". There has never been a time where the famous communist description of Americans more true.

As it stands, 10% of the American people have no health coverage whatsoever. This means that effectively, they have no way of getting treated if they were sick. Yet a lot of their own countrymen are indifferent and would fight ideas that would use their precious tax money to help those in need of (sometimes critical) medical aid.

So yes, I take it all back. Americans are not brilliant. They are actually very very stupid!
