The Question of Shiism

My wish is that every Shii person in the Muslim world one day will read this and consider it carefully before continuing on their path.

Needless to say, I am only addressing those who truly worry about their religion, and have a serious interest in understanding what Islam is all about. If you don't really care then you should not go past this point.

I will try to make this simple, technical and point-based:

1. Do you believe that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is his final messenger and prophet?

2. Do you have any doubt in the ability of our teacher Muhammad (PBUH) in choosing his closest companions?

3. Do you understand that the way of the prophet (Sunnah) and unity/agreement among Muslims (Jama3ah) are fundamental principles of Islam? (as demonstrated by the mass prayers and the singular location and dress-code in Hajj)

4. Do you realize that abandoning the way of the prophet (PBUH), rejection of the opinion of the majority of Muslims, or separation from the Muslim body are all basis for what is known as "Fitnah". As it creates chaos in the Muslim society, division and enmity between Muslims.

5. Do you know that many Ulamaa (Muslim Scholars) agree that the simple act of identifying one's self (from a religious perspective) as anything other than simply "Muslim" is in its self basis for exiting from the fold of Islam!

Dear brothers and sisters: It saddens me to find individuals who despite believing in God and his prophet, separate themselves from the rest of us, in a manner akin to those of other religions that were described in the holy Quraan as "Al-Dalleen". I hope that one day all true Muslims would unite as one entity, never to identify themselves as anything other than MUSLIMS. Wa Allah Waleyy Al-Tawfiq.
